Dilbert, Too Much Coffee Man, and Me
so Dilbert, by Scott Adams, this week, has Dilbert strapped to a huge mug of coffee which he is wearing as a back-pack.
I have notified Shannon "Too Much Coffee Man" Wheeler of this development I suspect I am not the only one, nor the first, but I live in a world of carefully maintained full expression the price for which is a lot of unnecessary redundant communication... I asked orders@tmcm.com if TMCM and friends are going to all get desk jobs in response. Mr. Adams wrote me back, curt and polite (but appreciative) in response to my suggestion, in response to the appearance of "Loud Howard" in his strip and announcement that he was there by popular demand, which I interpreted as a call for suggestions, that he do a series involving mumbling people -- like Seinfeld's "close talker" -- or perhaps introduce some old guy who doesn't know he's losing his hearing; which is what I worry that I have become, whenever I have to talk with one of these mumbling people. There's a lot of ambient noise in our office with the fans going all the time in the Dell blade servers, and I have in fact driven a CB750 with loud pipes coast to coast in my life, so I expect I do have some hearing loss. By the way, I finally got a new exhaust system for the CB750 and it is substantially quieter, as well as having more zing to itself from having the carbs rebuilt for the first time in some years. The only problem with the idea of taking a motorcycle road trip now is where do the kids sit -- Can you strap child seats to a motorcycle rack?
