Just another accidental coffee abstainer for highway safetyOne of the things that happens when you allow your 2yrold to take a nap in the evening is, regular bedtime enforcement will be tricky. This happened last night, with the result that I was more rushed than usual with regards to catching the 6:45 #47. Which I caught, and successfully transferred to the H, and successfully transferred to the F, which as per usual successfully conveyed me to New Century, Kansas. But as I was rushed, I did not prepare and consume my normal morning caffeine infusion, so instead of returning to the collection of selected Thoreau essays Ellen snagged me from the library, I stretched out on the long bench in the F with my head on my laptop bag and returned to a fitful slumber. At one point I woke up and saw a child standing in the aisle of the bus, looking distressed, alarmed and worried. Nobody I know, and banished to the realm of visions with the first blink. There were other dreams too -- a demonstration of a Boris Yeltsin hand puppet at a booth at the Brookside art fair, for instance -- but they aren't notable as a possible visitation from the restless spirit of a road accident victim.
