lots of activity
The project, at mindtrustllc.com, is complete yet broken in many ways and we are doing testing-based repairs to it, in keeping with my understanding of the extreme programming project management paradigm. Both of our automobiles are under repair. The mechanic who was to tune up the minivan broke the threads off of one of the spark plugs so we have to decide if we want to drop another grand on having a working minivan or if we want to drive it around on five of six cylinders (it makes a continuous popping sound, but runs) or if we want to have it crushed or parted out or something like that. The truck's transmission has been repaired again. Stupid after-market shifter. HAve to remember to spray the linkage with the lubricant BEFORE it breaks. Lubing it after it gets stuck in gear is a classic example of locking the barn door after the horse has been stolen. Aurora's birthday party is tomorrow. We have obtained a cylinder of helium from a party supply store and Ellen is cooking cupcakes. The office of the chancellor has responded to my letter with a petition form for me to fill out to have the late registration fee waived. Which is good -- this was my real expectation, as sending a refund based on my complaint seemed unrealistic when I asked for it.
