and Google does something wrong.

so I booted up "Google Earth" and was presented with a startup tip advising me about the terrain tilting feature, which is quite neat.

I immediately flew to Mount Oread, the glaciated bump that University of Kansas sits atop, to see what it would do.

Well, it mostly works. But: It misintepreted a baseball diamond as a building, and it misinterprets trees as pits. I guess trees and pits look the same from a satellite.

i think that they could analyze which side of an object a shadow falls on, since they know where the picture is and possibly what time it was taken, to determine if things go up or down
