thoughts on goodmail yahoo aol dealhttp://www.goodmailsystems.com/ has apparently inked a deal with aol and yahoo to provide pay2send filtering. Why I heard about this by reading an article in the KC Star, instead of being at the table during the negotiations, is because I am a small fish with grand illusions. Because the pay2send business has been languishing as a blog only. Because I have failed to employ any volunteers who aren't mentally ill. Not that there's anything wrong with being mentally ill, but keeping focused on the priorities is crucial. Not just maintaining focus -- you can visuallize all you want and it doesn't help your cause unless some action is involved. As the founder of the pay2send company, a division of tipjar, I am pleased that paid delivery e-mail is getting implemented by "major players" which is one of the hurdles of the pay2send business -- pioneering marketing of the concept of paying for e-mail delivery -- with aol and yahoo doing it -- demanding a bribe to have spam filtering skipped on your message -- that will help the cause of pay2send. The advenge server solution is different from goodmail. With advenge,
so with my pay2send C*O hat on I see the aol/yahoo- goodmail deal as a good thing, shifting the norm to where the advenge server will be a more appealing product. As always, anyone -- mentally ill or not -- who wishes to participate in the pay2send project, or any other aspect of the tipjar company, is welcome to introduce themselves with the comment form below.
