Begging for DollarsI have registered debtbazaar.com, as it lapsed. The debt bazaar business now has debtbazaar.com as well as debtbazaar.biz. Which is symbolic but ultimately empty. I need to work on getting a working prototype of the various interfaces up and going; so I will have the prototype to use as an explanatory device; so I can move forward with the patenting process before Goldman Sachs or American Express or similar stumbles into the same idea and I get something else to rave about in thirty years as I dodder around Santa Monica as an old homeless person. Knock on wood. Today as I was ambling down the sidewalk towards the pizza slice joint where I often lunch, a homeless man smoking a cigar and drinking a beer out of a paper bag struck up a conversation. He wanted to know where to acquire flip-flop sandals, as they looked more comfortable to him than the work boots he had on. I am not aware of anywhere in the river market that sells them, although the big Chinese grocery might, come to think of it. He had just been hired on as a construction worker and was begging for bus fare back to the shelter, it turned out. I realized later that going to venture investors for capital is essentially the same act -- the big difference being that the venture investor would want a piece of his construction earnings in exchange for the bus fare; and would provide more than bus fare -- perhaps a used Japanese hatchback with a full tank -- but the dynamic is similar. So look at http://debtbazaar.com if you will. Right now its just another alias for the tipjar.com web page, but presently there will be more to it. Have a nice day.
