Dear Joseph, Mann and Creed collection agency:

As we stated in our letter to the director of circulation at the Star, we do not wish to renew our subscription.

We paid IN ADVANCE for a six month subscription to the newspaper. At the end of that period we decided not to renew, largely due to the continuing double-billing the Star is continuing to attempt to perpetrate.

The alleged $48.51 debt you are attempting to collect is not valid, as it was paid in advance at the time of our subscription.

We have stated to the Star that we wish them to not contact us concerning further subscriptions.

Please do not contact us again concerning kansas city star's false claim of debt.

Dear Mr. Sanders:

We paid in advance for a six month subscription to the KC Star. See enclosed
receipt. During our newspaper subscription, collection agents from the Star continued to attempt to double-bill us for the newspaper. We eventually sent the director of circulation the enclosed letter. The appearance of a letter from a collection agency concerning the false bill is certainly unwanted, and is in violation of our written order to the star to not contact us again.
