the moving piano
This really happened; it was one time when I was really glad that reciting the SIPDE driving mantra from motorcycle safety class is something that I do when driving all vehicles, not just motorcycles. Scan, Interpret, Predict, Decide, Exceute. I was driving the red BMW, so it occurred prior to 2000 when the engine failed, but I don't know exactly when.

So I was driving south on I-35 and an upright piano fell off of a flatbed in front of me. I managed to swerve and pass it on the shoulder, but it was scooting along, still upright, at around 60 MPH. I waved at the driver of the truck and he pulled over. That's all I know about the dangerous moving piano: I successfully avoided it.
