the perfect place to put a power tower

reading about the australian company that is building massive solar
tower generators -- basicly they put a clear sheet over the ground to
trap heat and put wind turbines in a chimney in the middle -- and
generate megawatts.

At night, the retained heat keeps the air flow going since the tower is built
over something that will stay hot.

I realized that the perfect place to build such a thing would be near Salt Lake City. They wouldn't have to clear any land or install any salt pool -- just
put up the central chimney and several acres of clear 5-mil vinyl sheeting,
somewhere on the salt flat. Might have to dam out the water or something.
