my prosper loan is funded...What with unemployment and all, and the continuing failure of "angel investors" to cheerfully seek me out and offer to patronize my hobby-like business activities, I recently signed up for a loan with Prosper.com, the people who securitize and distribute pre-sold three year fully amortized loans for a 1% origination fee, for the maximum amount allowed in Missouri. Currently my loan is fully funded but if I take it right now it will cost me over 26%. There are just more than three days before I need to take it or leave it. If you have not participated in Prosper before, hit the referral button at the top left corner of this page and bid $50 at, say, 17% on my loan. I happen to think that the tipjar.com operations should have a risk factor about the same as a utility capital development, but communicating that in general remains something of a challenge. If the loan is bid down low enough to make more sense for me to take it, you will get a $25 bonus from prosper. Since I am once again employed, I don't have lots of time on my hands to work on tipjar development, but I do have an income from which to pay back my debts.
